Wedding Ideas – on the Beach in Kauai
Kauai is a wonderful island in the Hawaiian chain, not so large you are over run with tourists, but not small and remote either. It has a wonderful mixture of sights and sounds not available in the other islands which will give you and your guests unique traveling experiences.
Ideas for your wedding are only limited by your imagination. There are incredible white sandy beaches, fern flounced grottos, private mountain aeries over looking the ocean or Hawaii’s own “Grand Canyon”.
There are over 50 miles of white sandy beaches ringing Kauai. Hanalei Bay was recently voted the number one beach in the nation. But equally beautiful are the beaches on Na Pali Coast, or Waimea.
Kauai’s central Pacific location provides some of the largest waves on the planet breaking on her shores, so it is strongly recommend that you to swim only at beaches with lifeguards on duty. These beaches include Hanalei Beach Park, Waioli, Anahola, Wailua, Lydgate, Poipu, Salt Pond, and Kekaha.
Arrange your wedding on your own — or leave the tasks to someone else. Opt for a ceremony at a resort, or select from a lengthy list of sites throughout the island. Contact the Kauai Office of the State Department of Health beforehand for license information, which is fairly simple.
Cruise the Wailua River in your private wedding boat to the jungle wedding location called the Fern Grotto. The wedding ceremony takes place in a shallow cave with ferns hanging from the top of the cave.
Or plan something more traditional at one of more than 23 hotels and resorts offering wedding planning assistance. Whatever you chose you can’t go wrong in Kauai.
